The flare is a tool dedicated to producing a frusto-conical deformation in the mouth of lead and copper pipes used in plumbing and air conditioning installations.
How to use a flare?
- First the end of the tube must be cleaned and eliminate all the impurities that it may have.
- Later, we must know the size of the tube to know which hole in the metal bar we should use.
- This bar must be placed in the hole which is under the screw, tighten the bow so that the bar is securely attached and we can turn the key without any problem.
- By last, we have to insert the end of the tube into the hole to finally turn the screw and strike the cone on the tube
